Hosted by Daya Yoga and facilitated by Imani Ford, Body Talk: Music, Movement, & Mindful Creativity for Queer & Trans Folk is a unique healing experience that blends somatic practices, mindfulness, creativity, and community. Taking place on Sunday, June 14 at Daya Bushwick (149 Irving Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11237), this workshop creates an affirming space for queer and trans individuals to explore self-expression, embodiment, and personal healing.

Rooted in the belief that creativity and spiritual well-being are essential parts of overall health, Body Talk uses movement, meditation, and collaborative creative practices to foster connection between mind and body. Participants will engage in somatic exercises, mindful reflection, improvised movement, collective vocal experiences, and creative exploration designed to support nervous system regulation and emotional resilience.

The workshop emphasizes healing over performance, encouraging attendees to move and create in ways that feel authentic to their personal needs and experiences. Through community connection and embodied practice, participants will have the opportunity to deepen self-awareness, cultivate inner peace, and explore pathways toward collective and personal liberation.

Open to all experience levels, this event welcomes anyone interested in exploring the relationship between creativity, healing, and mental well-being in a supportive and inclusive environment.
