Hosted by the Young Adult Internship Program, Mental Health for OSOW is an in-person training focused on supporting professionals who serve out-of-school, out-of-work youth. Taking place on Thursday, September 24 at the Department of Youth and Community Development in New York City, this session is designed for social workers, case managers, program staff, and youth-serving professionals.
The event covers trauma-informed practices, mental health awareness, and strategies for supporting young people facing disconnection from school or work. Participants will have the opportunity to learn practical tools, share experiences, and connect with others who are committed to youth mental health and community support.
This relaxed and welcoming session provides a space to recharge, strengthen professional skills, and focus on creating supportive environments for young people navigating complex challenges.
